The Titan Arum and Rafflesia Arnoldi Blooming simultanously at Rejang Land, Tropical Rain Forest, Southern Sumatra

Last month at January 2009, a few giant flowers blooming in Rejang land. Its very rare event due the biggest flowers in the world Titan Arum simultanously blooming with the biggest Queen of parasite flowers in the world Rafflesia Arnoldi with same area and same time. Both of them bloom in Rafflesia Conservation Area located at main road Bengkulu City - Kepahiang Town, in Tropical rainforest Sumatra, Bengkulu province.

In history both the flowers first time discovere in Rejang Land at long long time ago when british emperor come to Bencoolen (Part of Rejang land). The Titan Arum discovered by Odoardo Beccari at Kepahiang regency (See Link) and Rafflesia Arnoldi discovered by Sir Stamford Raffless who be Resident at Manna, know as South Bengkulu Regency recently.

In Rejang land Titan Arum call as Bungei Kibut, and Rafflesia Arnoldi named as Bungei Sekedei.
