We have acquired some interesting textiles this week. Among them is this unusual cloth from Sumatra. It was collected in Lampung, although it may have been woven elsewhere. The colour is a remarkable dark blood red, and its graphic impact is very strong indeed. The thread is similar to that of cepuk textiles of Bali.
